Lianna describes herself as a life observer and creator.

Using daily objects as a reference and transforming it into arts with various materials is one of the ways that Lianna makes her arts.

Having experienced different mediums during studies such as painting, textile, small metalworking, ceramics, graphic design and so on, Lianna is not sticking to any specific material, meaning there is no limitation or boundary for her in making arts.

Land reclamation changes the natural state and makes it irreversible. Fishes stopspawning on the coastline because of artificiality. We can now only see a cold, lifeless region, imagining fishes still staying around the coastline.

The images transferred in the cups relate to homosexuality from the functional wares in Ancient Greece. The tradition of small red cups reference Indian disposable chai pots which are thrown onto the ground after finishing drinking, serving like paper cups. In the work, the audience is asked to drink the tea (or any translucent drinks) using the cups to discover the images transferred below. After finishing the tea, they can decide to dump it to the ground or treasure it like a regular ceramic cup, so as to indicate the people’s acceptance of homosexuality and reluctance of involving love in this kind of relationship when it comes to today’s society.
