TAM Bethia

Bethia TAM primarily works with ceramics. For her, ceramics is an art form full of surprises which helps her to embrace the unexpected ups and downs in life. She is keen on exploring the possibilities of combining various materials with clay and glaze. Traces of nature, subtle things in everyday lives and religion are always found in her art.

Ashes are like traces and memories left by life. They carry my past and make me who I am today.

Both ashes and clay are derived from the earth. Mix them together, as if they're nutrients for the growth of life.

Therefore, I plant my souls in them with good care, embrace them, and wait for them to grow into a better me.
